Find the support that's right for you

Whether you're looking to talk things through or create deeper change, I offer two complementary approaches — counselling and hypnotherapy — tailored to your needs.

Counselling

A space to be heard, understood, and supported

Counselling gives you dedicated time and space to explore what's on your mind — without judgement, without pressure, and at your own pace. It's a collaborative process where we work together to help you understand yourself better and find a way forward.

Many people come to counselling feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure why they're struggling. You don't need to have a clear problem or a diagnosis — sometimes just having a safe space to talk is the starting point.

I draw on a range of approaches including person-centred therapy, cognitive behavioural techniques, creativity, and mindfulness-based methods, adapting to what works best for you as an individual.

I also work with children and young people, offering age-appropriate support in a safe, non-judgmental space. Counselling can help young people navigate anxiety, friendship difficulties, family changes, school pressures, and questions of identity — building emotional resilience and giving them tools they can carry into adulthood.

counselling can help to support the following

  • Anxiety, worry, and stress
  • Low mood
  • Emotional regulation
  • Personal growth and understanding
  • Life transitions and change
  • Low self-esteem and confidence
  • Difficult past experiences
  • Work-related stress and burnout
  • Schooling

What to expect

Sessions last 50 minutes and take place weekly or fortnightly, depending on your needs. We'll begin with a free 20-minute consultation to talk about what's brought you here and whether we're a good fit. There's no minimum number of sessions — some people find a few sessions helpful, others prefer longer-term support.

Working with your mind to create lasting change

Hypnotherapy uses a deeply relaxed state of focused awareness to help you access the part of your mind where habits, beliefs, and emotional responses are formed. It's a gentle, collaborative process — you remain in control throughout.

Contrary to what you might have seen on stage or television, hypnotherapy is nothing like that. There's no loss of control, no sleep, and no one making you do anything against your will. It's simply a calm, focused state — similar to being absorbed in a good book — where your mind becomes more open to positive change.

Hypnotherapy can often achieve results in fewer sessions than traditional talking therapies, making it a practical choice for people who want to address specific issues efficiently.

Who hypnotherapy can help

  • Anxiety and panic attacks
  • Phobias and fears
  • Confidence and self-belief
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Unwanted habits and behaviours
  • Performance anxiety (exams, public speaking, sport)

What to expect

A typical hypnotherapy session lasts 60 minutes. We'll begin with a conversation about your goals and what you'd like to change, followed by a guided relaxation and the hypnotherapy work itself. Most people find sessions deeply calming. The number of sessions varies — some issues respond in 3–6 sessions, others may benefit from more.

An integrated approach

Counselling and hypnotherapy together

For many people, the most powerful results come from combining both approaches. Counselling and hypnotherapy are complementary — each one deepens the work of the other.

Counselling helps you explore the thoughts, feelings, and experiences that are shaping your life. It builds insight, self-awareness, and a clearer sense of what you want to change.

Hypnotherapy then works at a deeper level — using a relaxed, focused state to help your mind let go of old patterns and embed new ways of thinking and feeling. Where counselling builds understanding, hypnotherapy helps that understanding become lasting change.

Together, they offer a whole-person approach: working with both the conscious and the subconscious mind. Many clients find that combining the two accelerates their progress and makes change feel more natural and sustainable.

What a combined approach offers

  • Deeper, more lasting change
  • Works with both conscious and subconscious mind
  • Tailored to your goals and pace
  • Flexible — sessions can be counselling, hypnotherapy, or a blend of both

A combined approach works well for anxiety, low confidence, unwanted habits, emotional blocks, and anyone who wants to understand themselves more deeply while also creating practical change.
